Sanya Motorcycles Officially Enter Cambodian Market
PHNOM PENH– The China-made Sanya-branded motorcycles have officially entered Cambodian market on Wednesday to compete in the country’s crowded motorcycle market. Pan Sorasak, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Commerce, expressed congratulations to the SCI Company Limited for being selected to be the exclusive distributor of Sanya Motors in Cambodia. “As I know, Sanya-branded motorcycles are the most famous brand in China,” he said during the grand opening of Sanya Motorcycle showroom on Russian Boulevard in Phnom Penh. “I hope that with its high quality, good designs and competitive price, the Sanya motorcycles will gain popularity among Cambodian people very soon.” The rapid economic growth in the last decade has driven up high demand in motorcycles in Cambodia, said Jin Yuan, Economic and Commercial Counselor of Chinese Embassy to Cambodia. “The presence of Sanya motorcycles in Cambodia would be a part to boost bilateral trade between China and Cambodia,”he said. ” Now, Cambodian consumers can buy a new high quality and affordable Sanya Motorcycle rather than buy a used one that causes more pollution to the environment.” Three latest models of Sanya Motorcycles are available in Cambodia, Nop Chantha, sales manager at the SCI Company, said. It’s estimated that the demand for motorcycles in Cambodia is around 100,000 per year. Currently, the most popular brands here are Japan-made Honda and Yamaha (Xinhua).
